DHBA Policy on Sponsorship and Donations from Third Parties (including Vendors):
The DHBA welcomes support from individuals and businesses in promoting the interests of the organization. To that end, the DHBA provides sponsorship opportunities and opportunities for donations throughout the year. Individuals or businesses interested in sponsoring or hosting a DHBA event or publication should contact any current DHBA Director with a written proposal (not to exceed one typewritten page) which should include suggested dates, locations, and estimated amount of donation or sponsorship. The Board, in its sole discretion, will determine which proposals for sponsorship will be accepted. Sponsors may be allowed to provide informative materials via their representatives at a sponsored event, and will be recognized in the DHBA e-newsletter and in any other published materials as the sponsor of an event. Additional opportunities for recognition may be provided by agreement between the sponsor and the Board. The DHBA does not provide its mailing lists or other contact information to third parties for use in soliciting its members. The DHBA is a Texas non-profit corporation organized under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Sponsors and donors are advised to contact their own tax advisor to determine the tax implications of a donation to the DHBA.
